The last time Xiaodan Wang saw her favorite red sweater, she was watching CNN as her father was sentenced to 16 years in prison. It was Xiaodan’s first glimpse of her father, Zhiwen Wang, in over six months, but there was no mistaking her sweater even for a moment. The bright color, a piece of clothing taken from his home hurriedly by family members after police took him from his bed on July 20, 1999, was peeking out from underneath a borrowed jacket.

The Falun Dafa Information Center has learned of the death of Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhou Huimin, based on reports from her son and corroborated by sources from within China. Ms. Zhou passed away at Qingyang District People’s Hospital in Chengdu city, Sichuan province on March 15, 2008. She was 44 years old.

Family members of torture victim and recently deceased Ms. Cao Aihua are desperately seeking justice, going so far as to guard Cao’s corpse (which bears evidence of torture) for three months in a frigid, rented room of a funeral parlor in northwestern China, sources tell the Falun Dafa Information Center.
The Falun Dafa Information Center has learned of the kidnapping Saturday of a young Beijing girl, Youran Zhao (pronounced “yo-ron jow”), at the hands of a Chinese delegation while visiting the northeastern United States with a study-tour group. Zhao, 14-years old, disappeared sometime between Saturday evening and Sunday noon after declaring her intent to seek political asylum. Zhao practices Falun Gong, which is subject to severe human rights violations in China. Human rights attorneys are seeking immediate intervention from federal agencies. The Information Center believes Zhao is in imminent danger, and is calling for urgent help in locating her and securing her safety.
